Opportunities
I have always wondered what would happen if people didn't do what they are supposed to do, if they stood up against those ties that push them around everyday and focus their efforts on living, not surviving. Would that change anything? Will us be able to forget the social standards and to impose our interest over others? This may sound selfish, but, what if say that most of the people aspire to this?
There are some things that I am concerned about and this is not the first time I consider them: in this educational system, at schools and high schools, marks are way more important than students’ development as person. It is all based on a single mark, ONE number that can change the future of a youngster with opportunities and make them think they don't have the ability or the knowledge. People are way more complex than that: it exist an artistic factor that has not been explored yet, which I consider is a pity. This is the future of this people: woking as employees with a miserable salary and without having the opportunity to study a degree because their marks were not enough.
We should be free to choose our future and that a single marks does not mean our fall or rise.
